How to stream Digital Video on MAC OS X

    Hi,
I have a MAC PC with a Canon Digital Video camera. I want to stream a online video of classroom on internet. Due to that I had implemented this digital camera to improve the quality of the same. For this I had recommended to us Digi-8 tapes. What are these and how does it provides a good output format. Also which connection type is recommended for goo streaming of videos.

The advantage of the Digital-8, in addition to its compatibility Hi-8 is its cost, because the mechanics of these camcorders is already written off for years. The disadvantages, these camcorders are bigger than Mini-DV. But it's no big deal because achieving good shots with a mini-hand-held camcorder is not easy even with the anti-shake. To connect your camcorder to the iMac should be that it has an IEEE 1394 digital output that called Apple FireWire and Sony i-Link. iMac comes with a FireWire cable ready.

A Digital Camera allows you to shoot your footage and then import them on your iMac to make your arrangements through the iMovie software. The iMovie software, extremely simple adapts well to the general public and small projects. iMovie comes with every new Mac or just buy separately with the iLife pack. There are other programs like Edit DV unplugged, a streamlined version of Edit DV like Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express, Adobe Premiere, etc.

Firstly we must have a digital camcorder. This is a new medium for video (DV) that keeps high-quality movies throughout the chain (acquisition, editing, transfer ). The support that comes in 2 ranges: Mini-DV camcorders that all the major manufacturers offer and Digital-8 camcorders (Sony only) offering support with a digital mechanical and cassettes compatible Hi-8 (standard analog format).

In general DV editing requires a lot of disk space (about 216 MB for one minute DV film). A fast drive dedicated to your movies will be needed quickly. Even with 30 MB of the iMac DV SE you quickly find your limits. The purpose of editing video is on the dissemination of power. And it must be able to extract it from your iMac and put it on tape. As such support remains the most popular VHS tapes that are readable on any VCR lounge.

To extract the movie DV to VHS tape (or other analog format), there are several solutions. Like extract to your DV or Digital8 VCR cable FireWire tape, then make copies of this master to another video source with a single standard video cable (S-Video recommended). This option requires that your camcorder supports the IEEE 1394 digital input (see section DV-In).
