    Try to mention some more details about the iTunes version which you have installed on your system and also do not forget to mention the details regarding the iTunes older version i would like whether your problem started right after the upgrade or some times after you finished the upgradation.

    Here what i would recommend you to do is to get your iTunes removed from the system also do not forget to backup all your music file associated with the iTunes and then download the latest version of the iTunes on your system nad then install this latest version and then load the file again to the iTunes library.

    I would suggest you to do the following steps in order to get rid of this problem

    * Close iTunes application running on your system.
    * Download and install the latest version of iTunes.
    * Locate the iTunes folder that contain the iTunes library files
    * Drag the iTunes Library file to desktop
    * Locate the file named iTunes Library YYYY-MM-DD where YYYY-MM-DD is the date you upgraded iTunes (Year-Month-Day).
    * Drag this file to the iTunes folder (the enclosing folder).
    * Rename this file to iTunes Library.
    * Open iTunes.
    The problem should be fixed Now

    Re: my music file disappeared from library after Upgrading iTunes

    I had faced this problem some times back when i upgraded my iTunes 9.0.2 to iTunes 9.0.3 so i finally fixed the issue by renaming the iTunes Library YYYY-MM-DD and then dragging this folder to iTunes folder. Then after closing this folder i renamed it as iTunes Library then when i opened iTunes all started working fine.
