This is very easy in Microsoft Office 2010 that have given the facility for the user to create their own tab. For that just open up the Microsoft Office 2010 and the go to the MS Word and open it up now right click on the toolbar and then just click on the customize ribbon and then to Click on New Tab button that will ask about the name for new tab. That it you are done with the new ribbon in Office 2010.

No you don' t have to create new tab again in the MS Excel as you have created it once all you have to do is to import the file to the Excel. Just you have to right click on the toolbar and under the New tab button just click on Export Customization and save the file to any location. Now open up excel and again follow the same and click on import Customization and you are done.
