ITunes is freezing my system

I am using an apple Ipod for which i have to use iTunes on my windows system in order to transfer my music files from ipod to the system and from the system to the ipod also sometimes i use to play the ipod music files with the help of the iTunes. But now iTunes freezes my system always. please help me to get rid of this problem.

Sometimes such problem occurs usually because of the user account and hence in this case i would suggest you to create a new user account on your system and then install the iTunes application once again after removing the existing copy of the iTunes present on your system. May fix your problem.

This may be due to the configuration of your system. Your system might not have the enough amount of resource which is used to run multi applications on your system. i would like to know the specifications of your system which you have not mentioned in your system. please try to post it in your further replies.

I am using a dell inspiron laptop installed with windows 7. I have 320 GB of hard disk space and about 2 gb of RAM memory as far as i know it is more than enough to run an application like the iTunes. Please try to give me a different solution in order to get rid of this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Most probably it appears as you are using very old version of the iTunes application. since you have not mentioned the version of the iTunes application what i would suggest is to install the latest version of the iTunes application or try to upgrade the iTunes application present on your system.

It appears as your system is affected by a virus and which is consuming a lot of your RAM memory so i would suggest you to download and install a good antivirus program which would help you to remove the virus that are present on your system. The AVG 9 is a free antivirus try to use it on your system.
