Word 2007- File Open not working

I am using Microsoft Word 2007 and when i go to the File-Open button, i click on it but nothing fires or opens. Same when i have a document open and click on the File- Save or Save As button, nothing works or happens. This is on a Vista machine but has worked correctly in the past.

Any ideas on how to correct this?

I do not know what exactly is the problem with your word 2007, but in vista if you need to fix it then you have to go to the regedit and edit some of the registries for the word there. I do not have much idea about it, but I think windows vista has some problem with the office suite and it can be fixed from the regedit. Or else you can try reinstalling the office suite and then see if the problem persists. Or the best if to use the office 2003 suite. I think this is more stable than office 2007 suite.

I think your word 2007 has been corrupted. you can either re install a new microsoft word 2007 or can use a third party data recovery software if you have some important data files. You can use Kernel software for repair mircosoft word to recover and repair you word files.
