How to Customize startup of Windows 7 Media Center?

I need to do some kind of customization in the Windows 7 Media Center and for that i need your help. I want to skip the start up animation of the Media Center and directly go to the media center play so that i can directly go to the main working interface of the same. So if any one know about the How to Customize startup of Windows 7 Media Center? then help me with the same. Thank you

Hey as you are looking for the skip the animation part of the Windows 7 Media center and directly start the interface then you have to do the given step that will guide you for the Skipping the start up of the animation. Right Click on the Shortcut of Media Center from Desktop and then click on the Properties. Now Click on the shortcut tab and go to the target and at the end of the address type " /no startupanimation" and click on OK. Thats it now your Windows media center will start with the no animation. To disable the animation part of the media center you have to go through the below given description that will help you for performing the task to make the media center work according to your need. Just follow the same. Hope you will like it and perform as it is stated below.
  1. Click on start
  2. Type Media Center in start up search and press enter
  3. Right Click on Media Center
  4. Click on properties from context menu
  5. Now Click on shortcut tab and go to target
  6. Type "%windir%\ehome\ehshell.exe /no startupanimation"
  7. Click on Apply
  8. Click on OK
  9. Done

I have gt the same as you have suggested me to and now the animation part is skipped and i am redirected directly to the task of it. But want to make more customization so if possible then help me with this also. What if i want to look at things from right to left? So suggest me something for this too. A help may be appreciated.

To work with the look at things from right to left you have to perform the same task as you have done for skipping the animation of the Windows 7 Media Center. Just go to the shortcut tab and then to the target and again at the end of the target address type the "/rtl" so your address will become like "%windir%\ehome\ehshell.exe /rtl". So do the same.

Hey according to your need i am giving you some of the trick to customize the Media Center. All you have to paste the codes at the end of the target address i.e. %windir%\ehome\ehshell.exe.
  • Disable the Startup Animation & Music- /no startupanimation
  • Media Only Mode- /mediamode
  • Right to left mode- /rtl
  • Remove Shut Down from Tasks- /noshutdownui
  • No Chrome- /nochrome
  • Open in the Video Library- /directmedia:video
  • Start in Recorded TV- /directmedia:tv
