Unable to remove smart tags from Excel

Hello Guys,

I need your help to get solution over my excel related query. I have one excel file, from which I need to remove all the smart tags from it. I don't know any way to achieve this smart tags removal from excel. I have searched over various websites but didn't get proper details over smart tags in Excel. If you knows how to remove smart tags from Excel , then please let me aware about the same. I will appreciate your help over this.

Please follow below steps to remove smart tags of specific types from excel:

1. On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options, and then click the Smart Tags tab.
2. Under Recognizers, clear the check boxes for the smart tags you want to remove.
3. Click OK.
4. Close and reopen the workbook for your changes to take effect.

I think it's not too difficult to remove smart tags from Excel sheet. To do this you just need to move the insertion point over the text until you see the Smart Tag Actions button Button image. After that you need to click over the button and then you need to select 'Remove this Smart Tag' option. After doing these two steps you need to close you excel window and try to reopen. Then verify if smart tags are removed or not.

I hope following steps will definitely help you to remove smart tags from Excel:

• First open desired excel sheet.
• Then select AutoCorrect Options from the Tools menu.
• Then select Smart Tags tab, and then Clear the Label data with smart tags check box.
• Then clear Embed smart tags from this workbook check box.
• Finally reopen you excel sheet.

The Smart tags are built into Microsoft Office XP programs for to provide easy access to the actions. These actions are depends on data from the excel cell. You need to adjust the properties of 'AutoCorrect Options' from the tool menu of Excel. If you are using Microsoft Excel 2007, then you need to click over 'Microsoft Office Button'. Then you need to click over AutoCorrect Options which is from the 'Proofing' option. Try this and let me know if you are able to remove smart tags or not.
