Adobe InDesign Images not printing in color

Hello,

I created an InDesign file and trying it to be print, but printing is in black and white, not color.

I check the functions, but I can not find the problem (perhaps the size of color, I changed but the problem persists).

Yet when I print a file in another color on another software (eg Illustrator), printing is normal in color. you have an idea?

thank you in advance!

Re: Adobe InDesign Images printing in gray

Hi,

I'll take an example, my house when I print on my Dell Laser 3100 (postscript), I have access to composite CMYK (or RGB if I want) and if I choose my HP inkjet I can not access that RGB to composite ... But then, as you havn't say what printer you use, i can't guide you.

Furthermore, ID specializes in managing the printers of that type, non-postscript! So there might be a concern elsewhere. If I would create a file acrobat hdef (specifications PDF X-1a) and I try to print from Acrobat, to see ...

Re: Adobe InDesign Images not printing in color

Are all colors and images of the same color model (CMYK or RGB)? Does the color match print output? What printer do you use? Does the model match the transparency blend space?

Re: Adobe InDesign Images not printing in color

Your working and or assigned RGB color space in ID should be exactly the same as your image color space. Also be sure you Transparency Blend Space is set for RGB. Don't forget to set rendering intent to the same as the PS print dialog settings.
  • Output: Composite RGB
  • Graphics/Send Data: All
  • Color Management/Print: Document (should sow up as same space image is in)
  • Color Management/Options/Color Handling: Let ID Determind Color
  • Color Management/Options/Printer Profile: Same printer/paper profile as you selected in the PS print dialog.
  • Color Management/Options/Output Color: Preserve RGB Numbers Unchecked.
  • Advanced: Print as Bitmap Checked
  • Printer Dialog

Here you need to make choices as ID uses the old printing path. Make sure you select Printer controls in Color Matching and then turn of CM in the driver.

Re: Adobe InDesign Images not printing in color

Which OS you are using? Have you tried selecting Print as Bitmap?

Back to InDesign CS3 version when printing to an RGB device inserted Profile screen somewhere in the Printflow resulting in wrong color. You can use images as to circumvent this behavior.
