Re: How to change Macro security level in MS PowerPoint

If Macro security level in MS PowerPoint is not enabled - that is, security is set to Low- by Office applications started by an executable program making a call into the application object. Therefore, any macro would run when an application like Word opened a document and instructed it to run a macro, regardless of whether the macro was trusted or not. To address this issue of low security, a new security method was added to all VBA application objects called AutomationSecurity.

Re: How to change Macro security level in MS PowerPoint

I don't know how to change macro security level in 'MS PowerPoint'. But there three Macro security level available in MS PowerPoint, see below:
  1. Low level: In this security level there is no protection given from potentially unsafe macros. Low level used if there is virus scanning software installed, or you are sure all documents you open are safe.
  2. Medium level: In this security level there is option for to choose whether or not to run potentially unsafe macros.
  3. High level: In this security level there is only signed macros will be allowed to execute. While unsigned macros are automatically gets disabled.

If you are using MS PowerPoint 2003 then you can try following steps to change macro security level:
  1. Initially go to Security from the Macro section of tool menu.
  2. Then click over Medium from the Security Level tab.
  3. Then next step is to put 'checkmark' on from the Trusted Publishers tab.
  4. Then close all dialog windows.
  5. Then restart the MS PowerPoint to see effect.
