Skype - webcam is used by another application

I connected a webcam called mooncam who does not work with Skype. I always have a message that tells me that the webcam is used by another application. I removed the only application that could use the webcam (IVIS) .., but still same issue? what could be the solution?

I do not know now, but when I used Skype, the camera should be installed before the skype install to recognize that it had to uninstall and reinstall to recognize a new camera (installed after it so). So try uninstalling skype and then reinstall it.

Few things to perform for troubleshooting your webcam:

    • Uninstall Webcam program and re-installed it with the Installation CD.
    • Update windows.
    • Plug the USB directly to the back of the tower (instead of the front).

    Hope this helps
