How do I reinstall Windows Media Center

I have a Dell computer Media center Edition. Somewhere along the line Media Center itself got screwed up and it doesn't even show in the Add / Remove list of programs. I would like to reinstall the media center portion but the only thing I have to work with is the System Recovery CD's I created when I got the computer. Can I reinstall just the Media Center program from these CD's?

As you are having the installation disk you can easily reinstall it again or If there is a restore partition on you computer then you can use it to restore the operating system again. If both of this is missing then you will have to install whole operating system again.

I did not get the installation CD's but I created a 2 CD backup using the utility provided by the manufacturer. Will these CD's have all of the installation files on them? If so, do I have to boot from the CD or how would I selectively pick media center?

Yes you can make the thing to work only if you have made and image file for the same and then burned the disc. Also you can select the option for Media center by proceeding to the installation procedure. This should help.
