Safely Remove Hardware icon disappeared from taskbar

Hello sir,

I am running with windows xp and when I connect the USB to my computer system,the icon which comes in the right corner of desktop tagged on the task bar has been accidentally disappeared. So I am unable to eject my USB disk from the computer in the way.I didn't make any changes before occurring errors.I need to get back so please help me for this little bit task.

I feel this procedure is not a very useful tip.Now a days many of computer users have USB flash drive and we use the Safely Remove Hardware icon to eject the USB device from the computer to be sure that the files in the USB device would not get corrupted.

There are so many situations,we see “The device cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping the device again later” when something is being copied on the USB drive and we use this utility to eject the device.It happens because Windows by default selects for fast removal processing on Write Caching and Safe Removal policies.

You all are following this tools,its very good and in case when it disappears then it is also made by windows during the internal processing.

Enabling Safely Remove Hardware icon :

If you are using the USB flash drive and not getting any icon in the task bar to remove or eject the device from the windows contact which is happened by Windows accidentally in some cases and you can follow this procedure to make it unhidden :

• Right click in the corner of task bar means between clocks.
• Select Customize Notifications.

A small wizard would be open and

• Choose Safely Remove Hardware to scroll the list and select Always showoption

Enabling from control panel :

You can enable it easily from the notification area but you need to make the permanent changes from the control panel otherwise when you would restart your system then you find yourself with the same problem .

You need to make some permanent changes from the control panel like :

• Go to Control Panel and select Add/Remove Hardware icon
• On the left side of the window an box icon would be there named Add/Remove Windows Components,click on that.
• Double click on the Networking Services from the list.
• Uncheck the UPnP User Interface check box and press OK button to validatethe changes.

Now when you use the above options,you got some another problem the number of icons would be disappeared due to this changes like sound,plug and play icon.

Now you need to take the next step which would be as follows:

Go to the my computer icon and right click and manage and enter the Services and Applications-> Services and search the Plug and Play list and press double click.You get a error message after double click and click on OK button.The properties window would be appeared and choose Automatic in the Start up Type.Now press OK button and restart your PC.

Now you are able to get all desired things in the tray.
