Hello everyone,
Lately, I can not read .flv videos in my quicktime Pro. Yet, Perian and Flip4mac addons are installed. I am using Mac OS X 10.6.2.
You have any idea? because I have search google and no answer .
Thanks for help..
My first suggestion is that you to check your version of Perian, because it works perfectly on my machines, and even QuickLook.
Perian is now in version 1.2. Download it here Download Perain 1.2
My second suggestion is to set the launch services (via third party software such as OnyX).
Thank you for your reply.
Perian is Ok, I'm also using version 1.2.
The quicklook shows a .Flv file as a Flash Video. OnyX installed and no problems identified.
And can you tell what changes have you made recently?
Are these .Flv files derived from a particular source? Have you tried with .Flv files from other sources?
It can be the reason that your flv files are not in proper format or damage one, can you hear audio of those flv files?
Are you'd recently installed other codecs, and other players? Did you tried to play your files with the VLC player?
Try to know what had changed from the famous "recently".
Try to play these .Flv files via QT Pro from a new user account to see.
Problem solved. Yes I changed sources and above all, I tried these same files on another macbook pro!
I uninstalled Perian after seeing a bug in by right clicking on files. Reinstalling everything is back to normal!
Thank you for your help guys.
