No audio in Video playback with iTunes 9

Hello, I was pleasantly surprised to see in the library iTunes category "Movies" videos (in mpeg) that were on the hard drive of my computer. Wanting to read them, I clicked on a file, reads the video but without sound. All settings seem correct. With the drive Windows Media Player, I can read the same file: the image and sound are perfect. Wanting to centralize everything in iTunes I wonder what is wrong. Is this a codec problem? (With Quicktime?) Just in case I uninstalled Quicktime and then have reinstalled, nut doesn't works. Big thank you for your help, please tell me how I can read these videos iTunes with sound?

Well have you tried by reinstalling the itunes? can you see video without any issue? is it really only the case with itunes any other player tried rather than media player? see if you mistakenly has not press the mute button on itunes, it happens very much make sure your mute button is not pressed.

I have the same issue with itunes in my macbook, i didn't find any resolution but the final answer for my problem was completely uninstalling and reinstalling the itunes.

Before re-installation completely remove itunes and quicktime and use registry cleaner applications to remove its registry entries. Thats what i did.

If you are experiencing audio quality issues after updating to iTunes 9, please try this:

• Go to iTunes Preferences -> Playback.
• Disable Crossfade songs, Sound Enhancer and Sound Check.
• Click OK. Open the Equalizer.
• Disable the EQ by de-selecting the checkbox in the upper left.
• Play an affected track.

I had the same problem...I use Windows Vista Business 32-bit. I downloaded the latest version of DirectX and updated my sound driver (realtek) and the problem went away. I don't out of both directx and the audio driver which resolved my issue . Try both and see if it makes any difference in your video play in itunes.
