word 2010 freezes while changing certain options

I am using an hcl me laptop installed with windows 7 operating system. I have recently installed the office 2010 porgram on my windows 7. But whenever i try to change some option in the word 2010 it certainly get freezes. So i have to end the process from the task manager. please help me to solve this problem

These problems usually arise when you have some other Add-ins like the end note installed on your system . Simply disable or uninstall the end note application. After the removal of the end note addin the application will start running normally. The freezing problem of the word 2010 program will be solved.

This problem is because your system is infected by some virus or malicious program which may be consuming all your memory so that whenever you try to change the option it automatically gets hanged and hence if you try to download a good antivirus and install it on your system you will definitely solve this issue.

You have not mentioned whether you are using some addins with your word application or not. Because usually this situation arises whenever you install some add-ins like the Endnote on your system . If you want to get rid of this add-in you will have to remove the add-ins from your windows 7 system.

Seems as your antivirus has stopped working so it would be better if you try to download the Malwarebytes antmalware utility. So simply download and install the Malwarebytes antmalware on your system. After installing it on your system update the Malwarebytes antmalware before scanning the system . Thw scanning will definitely solve the issue.
