Picasa 3 freezes while executing

Hello. I have a desktop machine and it is been installed with Windows 7 as the operating system. The problem is that I am not able to work with Picasa 3 application program that is been installed in the system. Whenever I try to execute the application it freezes and then makes the system to hang. What could be the problem? Please help out. Thank you.
