    Quicken 2007 not working with Windows 7

    I am using hcl ME laptop running with windows 7. Prior to the windows 7 i was using the windows XP on my desktop. Also i was using the Quicken 2007 with it which was also running smoothly with the windows XP. But Now i want to use the quicken 2007 with my laptop installed with windows 7 and hence i installed the quicken 2007 but it won't work. please help me in this matter

    you have not mentioned which version of the quicken 2007 are you using or installed on your system. After knowing the version i will be able to implement on this problem. Till then i will recommend you to right click on the quicken 2007 application and select run as administrator. This might fix your issue. What version of "Quicken 2007" are you running in your PC? Have you tried to right click on the Quicken icon then Run as Administrator

    Most of the applications which are running with the windows Vista are almost compatible with the windows 7 also. But i think that the quicken 2007 is almost in compatible with the windows 7 as well as windows Vista. because it has not been updated to be accepted in the windows 7 as well as the windows Vista operating system.

    I think that quicken 2007 application is not supported by the windows 7 operating system. Hence it wold be better if you install the application or try to run it in the compatibility mode of windows Vista or windows 7. If this does not solve your issue then you should try to install a newer version of the quicken 2007 or upgrade the current version.

    It appears as you definitely need an upgrade because unless and until you upgrade quicken 2007 program you can't use in with any of the windows 7 64 bit version. I am very much certain because i have resolved the same issue by upgrading the software from the link which i have mentioned below http://quicken.intuit.com/support/ar...tion/4370.html

    The veriosn of the quicken 2007 application which you are using is somewhat older to be supported by the windows 7 and hence it will be helpful if you try to upgrade your quicken 2007 or try to download the quicken 2010 from the official quicken website or you can also use some similar programs like the wordperfect 11

    Have you checked compatibility?
    Just an FYI for you.

    It is always best to check with the software manufacturer FIRST. They will tell you if they have tested the product and the version, as well as whether or not it will work with Windows 7.

    In any event a lot of the times, Vista drivers will work in lieu of Windows 7 drivers, however, it's not 100%!

    As stated previously, it's best to have the Windows 7 certified drivers installed.

    Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assitance and support.
