How to Disable preview messages in Outlook Express

Hi all,

I am using Outlook express for mail service. I want to improve security in the reception of messages using the Outlook Express mail client and can disable the preview of the messages to not display signals as these, because many viruses take advantage of this visualization to activate and infect the computer where the mail is downloaded, so I know that how this function can disabled to increase security on my PC. thanks in advance.

The safest way to view your email is to twist the preview pane off, so only individuals’ messages you intentionally open are displayed. To turn the preview pane off follow the steps:

#Open outlook express.
# Click View Menu
# Layout and remove the check mark beside Show Preview Pane.

check and reply.

There is also a passive viewer built accurate into Outlook Express. You can safely use it to open/view any email message because it cannot take any action further than show the characters in the message , even if the message contains a malicious file. Just Right-click the doubtful message in your Inbox message list. Choose Properties from the context menu that appears. Click "Message Source..." in the message properties dialog box. The little window that opens is the passive viewer. Chose delete option from that. Thanks.

Re: How to Disable preview messages in Outlook Express

The message preview pane in Outlook Express is really pleasant and helpful, but it comes with the danger of infectious a worm or virus by just previewing an email. That's why it is best to stop the preview pane for security reasons in Outlook Express, or as a minimum to turn off automatic loading of remote images. Best of luck.

You can also choose message bypassing the Trash in Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail or Outlook Express. To delete a message immediately without the Recycle Bin in Outlook Express, Hold down the Shift key while pressing Del and Click Yes. Best of luck. You can also check the above process for delete message preview.
