Wic Installer Problem

i tried to install WIC 1.0, but when i run WIC_X86_ENU.exe, the install stalls it when it says it is installing WindowsCodecs.DLL.

any ideas why it stalls? tried multiple times, after re-boots too.

I think the setup file which you are using is not proper and hence i would recommend you to download afresh copy of the file and try installing it. If the issue persists still then try downloading it from a different source this should fix your problem.

gave that a go and i still get the same error.

any other ideas?

btw, i see i have 3 gb of free space left (out of 80 gb). that's plenty of memory, right?

In that case i would suggest you to check it out on another system and see, if you are facing same issue then there is some issue with your setup file and you need to install the latest Wic and then try to run
