How to import email messages from Qualcomm Eudora into Entourage ?

    Hi,

I want to import e-mail messages, contacts and events from other applications like Apple Mail, Qualcomm Eudora 5.0, Microsoft Outlook into Entourage. I know that we can synchronize Entourage with the Mac OS X iCal application so that events are displayed in Entourage and iCal, but we can not import information from iCal to Entourage. So guys, can you tell me how to import email messages from Qualcomm Eudora into Entourage ?

In Entourage, data can be imported directly from some other applications, such as from Apple Mail and Qualcomm Eudora 5.0 or higher. To Import of data stored on the computer information from Apple Mail or Qualcomm Eudora , follow the steps below :

    1. Click the File menu, click Import.

    2. Click on information from another application, and follow the instructions on the screen.

Remember that Pst files from Outlook for Windows can not be imported into Entourage. If the messages are stored on an e-mail server (such as a Microsoft Exchange account a POP -, IMAP - Windows Live Hotmail or account, you can set up these accounts in Entourage and download the messages instead of importing them.

If you have messages to another e-mail application and the stored set of messages in this application as MBOX File can be saved, you can import this group of messages in Entourage. MBOX files have the extension. Mbox. To import messages in MBOX format, try the following steps :

    1. Click the File menu, click Import.

    2. Click Contacts or messages from a text file and then click the arrow to the right.

    3. Click for news from a text file in MBOX-format import and then click the arrow to the right.

    4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Note In Outlook for Windows will not be able to export messages in MBOX format.

With the PST Import Tool to import data from Microsoft Outlook 2001 for Mac into Entourage 2008. In Microsoft Outlook 2001 for Mac created files have the extension. Pst. If you just want to extract messages from the pst backup program MS Outlook, download the folders from MS Outlook mail program MailNavigator, and then do the export messages in plain text or HTML RFC-822.

To Import contacts from the Mac OS X Address Book, follow the below steps :

    1. You can select one or more contacts from the Mac OS X Address Book as an electronic business card as a vCard Denotes export, and then drag the vCard file in Entourage to import your contacts.

    2. Export your contacts from your address book as vCard file. For instructions, see "Export contacts" in the Help for Mac OS X Address Book.

    3. Drag the vCard file from its location on the hard drive in the area of "contacts" from Entourage 2008.
