zeeman is dead on the money with his posting .the last 2 sections of numbers matched up to his posting of registry key change on how to repair this problem.worked like a charm.:  |

| Windows live messenger wont save name or password
In that case i would suggest you to Make Messenger Remember software which will remember your messenger name and password. After installation you need to reboot your machine, start Messenger if its not set to automatically do so already, and verify that your Live ID and/or password have returned. In some cases you may have to sign in manually at least more one time. |
