Itunes Error 5103 is an incorrect time stamp on the computer when you perform a transaction with the iTunes store, most often this error occurs with the rental movies. It has been seen that this was error has been occurred when the people had reset their clocks in the future timing, when we first played rents, then return to normal time.

I had the same problem, when I went abroad. I've tried everything. Repair Permissions. Remove Plist, resetting the PRAM, reset clock to foreign time, I had even created a new user account and a new manual settings made. Mac with a different credit card and rented another movie. Error 5103. ITunes reinstalled. Nothing worked.

The only 2 references I have found, a 5103 error had to do with preventing people from having unlimited play time by changing their PC clock. Make sure the you computer has correct time, and it configures it automatically. Also it can be related to an empty file or corrupt.

Thanks for reply, I have put the system clock automatic. I left both QuickTime and iTunes. I moved iTunes into the trash. I deleted from the HD QuickTime and trash. I downloaded the installer for QuickTime and QuickTime installed. Moved iTunes to the trash back into the Applications folder and my problem with Error 5103 has been solved !!!
