    Configuring Automator in MAC

    Hi,
I am looking for some details and process of using Automator in MAC OS X. I had found that by this I can run automated task in the apple computer. I just want to know how to do that and what more does an Automator in MAC do. Does it is capable of performing only system related task or other too. What are the more options does it provides other than running automated task.

By using the Automator you can create automated task in MAC. And that too on some clicks. With it you can run new programs on your system in some clicks. This is best for those jobs which are a every day work. If you have a repetitive job then you can assign the same in Automator and get the work done automatically.

To facilitate our task, Automator already includes a library of hundreds of pre-configured actions. Each share is expected to perform a specific task. Just then, by simple drag and drop to select such and such actions from the library, order them well and you get a process. You can combine the actions you want in the order of your choice, and so you create multiple process.

Under SNOW LEOPARD Automator now allows to create standalone applications, but also Services and modules to print PDF etc. It is also possible to create processes starting alarms iCal. You can also use the technology Spotlight directly from the Process to quickly find the elements to be addressed by the Process. You can even save your process for reuse or even share.

Starting Points when you open a new process, Automator you can already choose from a group of starting points that help you create the first part of your process. This facilitates the creation of your process . The left column Library list your applications, examples of process and folders intelligent to facilitate the use of processes. Here you can see the processes and assigned task.

In addition to the Actions you also have variables (two buttons at the top of the column Library). You can indeed create process Automator more powerful and more flexible thanks to variables you can do register values and, if necessary, entering in your process. You have, right here at your disposal many constant values to use in your various processes.
