You can use the character table to discuss the characters available in a selected font. Using the Character Map, you can copy individual characters or groups of characters in the clipboard and paste them into any program that can display them.

To open Private Character Editor, click the Start button, Eudcedit.exe type in the search box, then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, provide the password or confirmation.

If you know the value of the key on the special character search, you can insert special characters directly into your document using your keyboard. To do this, open the document and place the cursor where you want to show the special character. Then press the Caps Lock key. num and hold down the Alt key and press the keys on the keypad corresponding to the key value of the character you want to type. Once you've finished typing, release the Alt key.
