Re: Export .PST file

The .PST contains all data and only data, ie what you see in the records. You can copy it completely, but we recommend you do rather export to a new PST or PST that you created for the occasion. Look for the Import Export Option.

Perform the following steps:
  • On the File menu, click Import and Export.
  • Click Export to a file, and then click Next.
  • Click Personal Folder File (.pst) from the list, and then click Next.

Now go through the remaining procedure according to your needs.

Re: Export .PST file

If you want to back up only some of your Outlook data, you can create a new backup .pst file of only the data that you want to save. This is also known as exporting .pst file data. For example, you might want to use this section if you have important information in only some folders and you have other, less important items in much larger folders. You can export only the important folders or contacts and omit folders like Sent Mail.

  • Choose Personal Folder File (. Pst), Next.
  • Select folder to export and check the box Include all subfolders if you want to make a complete tree.
  • Optionally, click Filter to define an export rule, OK Next.
  • Click Browse ...Then select the location to save the file and specify its name. OK to complete the process of file selection.
  • Choose the replacement options or no duplicates in the destination file in case it already exists and you do not want that update.
  • Click on the button Finish to start the export.
