Merge multiple Word documents into a master document

    hello,

I'm novice in computer. I have an exam soon and am asked to make a master document from existing files 4.

"You find yourself now with four files of type .Doc. You must now build a single document from the four previously constructed. For this you use the tools of the master document."
how can one do that? I am creating a master document, but I never knew you could do it from existing files.

    does anyone can help me?

When you select a document to compare the document already open, you must then use one of three commands to specify the merge document to use as a basis for comparison. The differences between the documents are marked as tracked changes in the document.

    • Changes to the document that is already open (red) are shown as tracked changes in the document that you selected in the dialog box Compare and Merge Documents.
    • Changes to the document you selected in the dialog box Compare and Merge Documents (blue) are shown as tracked changes in the document that is already open.
    • The changes of the two documents are merged into a new, third document and the differences are reported as tracked changes.

    • Open a document.
    • In the menu Tools, Click Compare and Merge Documents.
    • Select the document to compare the copy currently open.
    • Click on the arrow next to Merge Then do one of the following:
      • To view the results of the comparison in the selected document, click Merge.
      • To view the results in the currently open document, click Merge into current document.

To optimize the results of the merger, check the checkbox Store random number to improve merge accuracy is activated tab Security the dialog box Options (click on the menu Tools on Options).

If you use the command Versions menu File to save multiple versions of the document in one file, and if you want to compare the current version with an earlier version, you must first save the earlier version as a separate file with a different name.

This function is used to compare similar documents that have been modified, corrected, annotated:

    1. Open your first document, click the insertion point, go to insert-> file-> select the second document-> Insert

    2. Your second page will be found in the first from the insertion point previously chosen.

There are many third party applications are available for this, but manually is easy:

    • Inside the main document keep you cursor at position where you want to insert or merge the second document.
    • Click Insert, File.
    • Find the document you want to insert, click it, and then click the Insert button.

Like magic, the second document appends to the first one.
