    This issue is actually the problem that is associated with the the file that is been downloaded. It may be that the downloaded file may have lost out or might be appended with some issue that needs to be sorted out. You need to use some other application in order to make the things to work out. Use another installer and then try to install the application.

    There might be some codec that may be missing out due to which the files that is been associated is not able to get executed. You need to install the required codec for the player that it may need. So install the codecs and then try to execute the videos. It may then work for you well. It is also that the plugins should not be broken. it also leads to such issue.

    Try to reinstall the real player and then make the things to work out. It may be that the system should work by uninstalling the application. All you need to do is:

    a) Go to the control panel option.
    b) Now open the add/Remove programs.
    c) Then select the option that is the application that you need to remove.
    d) Click remove.
    e) Restart the system.

    Now install the application again.

    Hide the services. It may help you out in making the things to work accordingly.

    * Click on the start button.
    * Now type msconfig in the search box and hit enter.
    * Under the selective startup tab choose Hide all Microsoft services.
    * Disable the services.
    * Restart the system.

    Check out by making the system to work under safe mode. This should help you out in making the process to work out correctly. It is quite possible that the system or the application is not able to cope up due to which it is not able to play any video. Either you try to use any other media player and then check out for the thing. Hope this should work well for you then.
