    Quicktime does not work

    Hi,

I'm using Windows 7 x 64, is a fresh installation.I installed latest iTunes and QuickTime. ITunes works except video game again. Quicktime player will not start. I have the turning circle of a couple of seconds, then there is simply nothing. I reinstall / repair and both Quicktime and iTunes several times, did a repair installation of new version of QuickTime installed, nothing changes.

What do you see (instead of video) in iTunes when you go to play a video ??? I had the same problem, What you need to do is, Open QT, go to Edit - under Preferences, select QT - Advanced video and choose Safe Mode instead of DirectX, under Media Types check Enable playback of Flash tracks. This worked for me and some others, but it works for some others who had problems.

Remove the Quicktime completely then reinstall it again :

    1. Quit QuickTime Player.
    2. Select Control Panel from the Start menu.
    3. Choose a program in Control Panel. The Programs and Features window appears.
    4. In the Classic View of Control Panel, click Programs and Features.
    5. Select QuickTime from the list of currently installed programs and then click Remove.
    6. If you are asked if you want to remove QuickTime, click Yes.
    7. If the reversal of the installation is complete, you must restart the computer when prompted.
    8. Other indications of QuickTime in Programs and Features (if any) should be removed.
