How to fix Error Code 0x81000370 in msn messenger

Hi buddies,
i am using beta version of msn messenger in my windows vista. When i am put login id and password on login windows, It will display a error Code 0x81000370 and unable to login. How to fix this error. Please reply.

You need to do below steps for resolve this issue.

# Click on start, then go on run.
# Type regsvr32 softpub.dll and press enter.

Then you will find that there a succeed confirmation message windows, reboot the PC and try to login msn messenger. Best of luck. If you find any issue reply me.

You can also try this method, You have using beta version. Please download and install full new version of MSN messenger and check that. May be you do not have registration with .NET service , so it will happen. Please confirm this and reply me if found any problem again. I think it will be worked. Thanks.

I will do the both above method, but not succeed . The same error code is pop up again. I ahve my hotmail id but not hve .NET Passport id, How can i create this. Please advice. Also any suggestion and help for login issue is appreciated. Onbe of my friend is told me that security parts in MSN Messenger not working correctly in my system. How can i resolve. Thanks for your reply.

If MSN Messenger does not work again, it means that caused by the security parts in MSN Messenger not is working correct. You need to go to MSN passport site and click in sign in button on this. Put your hotmail id and password then you will find that a certificate dialog box, accept this certificate. and logout from there. Then re-login to your messenger, I think it should be worked. I will add some suggestion to above topic that if you did not get the certificate dialog and MSN Messenger still does not work then open the advanced settings dialog in Internet Explorer that you have used by clicking on the Tools - Internet options menu and then go to the advanced tab. You need to go down to the security section and make sure use SSL 2.0 and use SSL 3.0 are both checked or not. If it will unchecked, then check now and close the browser and start the messenger windows. It will 100 % work. Best of luck.
