Problem copy and paste files to DVD

    Hello,

I'll try to be as clear as possible:

I have an HP Notebook DV5 1123EF with VISTA, I can no longer "copy" a file on the DVD in the recorder.

    - A message appears every time me to analyze and repair the DVD player

It is similar in meaning to copy/paste from DVD to PC hard disk.

    please resolve my case?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Its seems to be a problem of DVD player, make sure your DVD writer working properly, grab nero burner and burn a test dvd with it, if it worked then its the issue with DVD media you using otherwise time to replace a DVD burner.

You didn't mentioned what you were using to copy the DVD, i'll say DVD Decrypter can be set to ignore most errors. ISOBuster is another program to use for corrupted files. I'm assuming the disc is in good shape, no scratches, etc. this type of errors are usually caused by a damaged file.

Windows can't copy files to a dvd. For this you need to use DVD burning/writing software. You should not use Windows to reformat or burn, or copy files to CD's or DVD's. Try a nero burning software for same.

I doubt the problem is the IDE cable, if your computer recognizes it in Windows and is fully capable of reading DVD's in Windows. But if you have a spare cable around it but would not swap. More importantly ensure that the slave and master jumpers on the DVD-RW are set correctly, the reader is set to Master and the burner as a slave. Also try different burning programs, like alcohol 120% or DVD Fab to copy CD's and DVD's.
