How to Convert MP4 to MP3

Hi all,

I am using Microsoft XP as a operating system in my Laptop. Yesterday, My friends given me DVD of songs that is MP4 format, but i do not have player for MP4 video in my Laptop, and i want to covert that songs MP4 to MP3, Can anybody have any idea about this how to covert that format. Please help. Thanks in advance.
