    Hi,

I have installed fresh copy of windows 7. The installation had no problems but when I load itunes. I get as error message saying, iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7. I have reinstalled iTunes many times and it still doesn't work. I have not even added or changed any programs on my computer in a long time. Any help please?????

First check if QuickTime will launch and works well. iTunes can not work if Quicktime does not. Hold down the shift key and start iTunes. Hold down the shift key until prompted to choose / create a library, and iTunes crashes. If you receive the message, click Create and then go to My Documents . If iTunes starts perfectly then empty library.

I had the same problem. I found a solution to a problem like I did to fix it. Install WinRAR and tell him to remove iTunesSetup.exe. This should give you a number of files. Msi file and a. Exe. Run each individual. If you use iTunes, and try to repair or remove, be sure to do the repair. Then ITunes Run. It should work without problems. While WinRAR is a free program you can download the 40 day free trial, which will work to resolve this problem.

I had the same problem and I have worked all day trying to find out the solution. Itunes seems to load ok, but when it comes to register the product and then copy the new files freezes the status bar. Well, I finally realized that QuickTime was not working well. I completed the following steps: Uninstall both Quicktime and iTunes and reinstall it again.

To uninstall and reinstall itunes, you can download the Windows Installer Cleanup from Microsoft, which cleaned the installation files from the remains that may be causing problems with your current installation. To do this:

    1. Click here first, and read important information about the software.
    2. Click Download the package now Windows Installer Cleanup Utility that appears on that page to download a file called msicuu2.exe.
    3. Open the file Msicuu2.exe and follow the installation instructions.
    4. Select Start> All Programs and then click Windows Install Cleanup; the clean installation of Windows to Utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    5. Select iTunes from the list and click Delete.
    6. Click OK in the confirmation dialog that appears.
    7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 if you have multiple iTunes entries listed.
    8. Select QuickTime from the list and click Delete.
    9. Click OK in the confirmation dialog that appears.
    10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 if you have multiple QuickTime entries listed.
    11. Click Exit.

I tried the re-install (itunes) over and over and the msicuu2.exe cleanup. All failed. I then downloaded quicktime (free version) and installed that and itunes works again.

download the latest version of quicktime (free version) and install. This fixed my itunes problems.
