Procedure to create a PPS file

Hello Friends,

From few days I am trying to solve my confusion regarding the PPS file. I wan to know about procedure which is used to create the PPS file of the PowerPoint. It have tried lots of different procedures but nothing was helpful. I need this file because of my project requirement and I don't know how to proceed.
Do you know any method to create a PPS file?. your help will be greatly appreciable.

PPS is a PowerPoint presentation file which opens independently. If you want to create the PPS file from the PPT files then refer following:

• you need to open the ppt file and then save it as PPS i.e PowerPoint Show
• You Just need to change the extension of the PowerPoint file name from 'nameOfFile.ppt' to 'nameOfFile.pps'. When Next time you double click on the PPS file it will open like powerpoint show file.

It is very easy to create the PPS file in the Microsoft PowerPoint. First open the PowerPoint application. When you save you PowerPoint file at the time you need to set the 'File Type Option'. If you want to save file as a PPS format then you should select the "PowerPoint SlideShow(pps) format" for the 'File Type Option'. then give proper name to the file and finally click on save. This will create the PPS (PowerPoint SlideShow) file. Try this procedure.

You can also create PPS file using Openoffice.org, and for this do the below steps:

1. Initially open the Presentation from Office
2. Then you can select settings that you want , page 1, 2, 3, and then select Auto Create.
3. Then click on the "from file".
4. Then you need to right click on layout which is selected, then select insert a slide.
5. Then select "Save As" from the "File" menu.
6. Then provide name for your file and then then click done.
7. You can also rename the downloaded file in the .pps file format.

Have you tried below procedure for PPS file?

• Open a existing or blank PowerPoint presentation file which you want to convert into .PPS format.
• Then select the "File" menu and then go for "Save As" option.
• Then select "PPS (PowerPoint Show)" option which is from the "Save as type" .
• Then highlight the test form "File name" field and then click on the "Save".
• Then view PPS file to check whether it is converted correctly or not.

Hello Friends,

Yes have successfully crated the PPS file of the PowerPoint using the above given procedures. It was very easy than expected. First I created the one PowerPoint file then while saving this PowerPoint file I adjusted the 'File Type format' to the PowerPoint SlideShow(PPS) format. Then closed that file and reopened to check it was created properly or not. I got some difficulties while the PPS file but I have solved that.
