Can't view Images in Windows Photo Viewer

Well now I don't know what is causing this issue of mine.
I am not able to view any pictures in Windows Photo Viewer and not also in Windows Live Photo Gallery.
Whenever I open a pictures I get this pixelated gray image with a large black bar on the side. And all this started all of sudden.
I have been using this windows 7 from past few months now and never saw some thing like this before.
The Laptop I am using is a Dell Inspiron 6600 with Slic 2.1 BIOS mod and no loader used.

Well now over here there might be some issue with your printer maybe. I am just guessing over here. As I am seeing something like this for the first time on Windows 7.
It can also be some interference with Color - Profile.

The printer installed on this computer is a Samsung SCX-4x21 All-In One laser printer.
I had this same issue before also once and was solved after I formatted my system. A friend of mine also has this same laptop and he never faced any issue like this.
I guess there might be some very simple solution for this. So please help..

Okay as you said that it was working fine before like some days back then try a System Restore, and go back to a previous date before this issue came.
I am not sure but installation of some other software or application may have created a problem here.
Which all applications and software did you install in this few days when everything was working fine.

I don't think this is some Windows 7 problem. So will not be fixed with any patch or something like that. Did System Restore worked.?
There might be something wrong with your installation that is Windows 7 installation pack.
Or there is for sure some other software which is conflicting over here. Try System Restore if you haven't tried it yet. It is really very useful.
