Thunderbird 3 Recurring Problem in Mac

    Hello everyone,
I just switch to Mac OS X, I am generally happy. Only trouble is Thunderbird, version 3, that bug quite often. It is quite common that it no longer meets. It is always present in the dock, but if I click on the icon long it is marked Application not responding". And I am obliged to "Force Quit" and then restart. Is that I am the only one to have this behavior or not? Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello,
I think many open-source software has recurring defects:
    1) they run very badly, changes the WAN IP address, if you have a dynamic IP check if the problem does not result in change of IP, if it's here: either Thunderbird has a bug that level or you do not wait quite that detects the connection timeout and will right itself.
    2) they mismanage the output of sleep
    3) they mismanage the new IP address but only when it occurred during sleep
    4) they have problems with the dynamic changes of fonts (here you would be surprised if this is new for you)
    5) they have incompatibilities with Space
Optionally you can go with Apple Mail.

    Hi,
    Code:
Optionally you can go with Apple Mail.
Should that I look for now.
    Does it allow use of:
    1) Gmail and its special features?
    2) GPG for crypto?
    3) Sync with Gmail Contacts?
I have not tried Apple mail before, so I do not have much idea about this.

    Hello,
Records "special" are the responsibility of IMAP (ie when creating the account in Mail.app Google choose IMAP instead of POP)
GPG has not been updated since 2008, so there is some doubt as to the format of SL (but supports in Leopard). Mail.app contacts are managed by the Address Book and in SL there is an option "Synchronize with Google", but not in Leopard.

    Hello
    Thank you for information.
For folders, I just watched, this should be good. Just the handling of "Archive" which is not apparently present in Mail.
    For GPG:
    GnuPG 2.0.14 released
So I tend to say that he is still active. For the address book, I will not watch this, since I'm on SL.

    Hello
Being a new switcher to the Apple Mac operating system, have you tried applying Apple Mail?
    1) Gmail and its special features?
    2) GPG for crypto?
    3) Sync with Gmail Contacts?
To synchronize contacts Google, you can use Apple AdressBook which allows synchronization with your Gmail account. And Mail and AdressBook are interrelated.
