Windows Media Center getting error message when record TV

Hi,

I have AMD athlon machine with AverMedia Go 007 Plus TV Card. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 as operating system on that. The issue is that when i am try to use Windows media center to view or record TV, It get a message : "Windows Media Center Receiver Service stopped working and was closed. A problem caused the application to stop working correctly." How can i resolve this problem, Can any body have any idea. Please help. Thanks in advance.

You will make sure that Your TV tuner AverMedia Go 007 Plus drivers is compatible with Windows Vista. Because some time this type of error will getting if there is any dis-compatibility with operating system with drivers. You will also check with update your hot fix of windows vista and tv tuner card drivers also. Please reply.

My TV tunes card is compatible with vista operating system. Because its run the video on media center , only problem with the record live TV. I also updates my Windows vista by Microsoft website and regarding AverMedia tv card drivers, its display message that there is no update is available. Please reply.

Windows Media Center getting error message when record TV

You can check this error and fix that by this way : Go to Command prompt of Windows Vista but make sure log in as administrator and put the following command sfc /scannow. It may require windows vista CD/DVD on your disk drive. Try it and reply.

Windows Media Center getting error message when record TV

You can use FixWin software, it is a small, freeware portable application to repair & fix common Windows issue. It will flush & rebuild Windows Media Center database by scan. It also display information if any malware attack. It will check also Windows registry and rectify that issue. Check with this and reply.

Windows Media Center getting error message when record TV

May be the hard disk space selected by you in Recorder Storage is full. Windows Media Center will not automatically delete recorded programs to create available disk space unless you select Until space needed in the recording defaults. You might need to manually delete some recorded content to create some free disk space for new shows an record live TV. If you found any issue reply me.
