How can I convert text data into table format?

Hello Guys,

I have one big text file and I have convert this all data into Microsoft word table format. I think I will be more time consuming if I do this manually by copy pasting procedure.
Do know any easy method to convert text data into table format? I would greatly appreciate your help.

Please try the below steps to convert the text into table format:

• Initially you will need to Select the desired text.
• Then open the Microsoft word , select the "Table menu",
• Then select "Convert" >>and then click on "Text to Table".
• The provide the number of columns and rows which you want in table.
• The provide the separating text value for the output table.
• Finally click on "OK".

I don't have any idea regarding the Text to Table conversion. But if you want to convert the Table into the text format then you can try the following three steps:

1. First make the selection for the table rows which you want to convert into text.
2. Then goto "Table Tools", then click on "Layout tab". Then you will get the option"Data group" , then select the "Convert to Text"
3. The type any separator character in the text box of "separator character"

I recommend you to use table conversion functionality only when your text data is in proper format. Suppose all your text data is like paragraph then your converted table will inappropriate. So before converting text into table, first align you text data into proper manner and then convert into table.Don't forget may suggestion during the table conversion.
