The GOM player is not working properly in the Windows 7 Operating System of your computer system. you are saying that earlier it was working properly when you were using the Windows XP operating system. This is simply the compatibility issue of the GOM Media player with the Windows 7 Operating System. This player was fully compatible with the Windows XP and the Windows Vista operating system. But the Microsoft has not yet confirmed that this software is fully compatible with the Windows 7 operating system.

You are saying that this media player is not able to play most of the video files and all the Audio files are played properly on your computer system. First of all try to play those video files on some other media players on your system. f they are not played then this is the problem of the codecs for the different video formats. You have not installed the codec pack in your computer system. Install the codec pack in your system and after that play those video files on your system. Install the codec pack for the Windows 7 operating system.
If the videos are played on the other media player then this is the problem of the media player itself. Re-installation may fix this problem.

GOM Media player is one of the very good media player which is used for playing audio and video files in the Windows operating system computer systems. But along with it you need to install the codec pack for the respective operating system which you are using in your computer system. There are different versions of the codec packs for the different operating systems. You can download the codec pack from just searching on the Google. Download and install this. This will solve the problem of the COM Media player.

Re: Problem with GOM Media Player in Windows 7

You are having problem in connecting the 5.1 speakers with this GOM Media player. You cannot change the setting after you have once installed this Software on your computer system. So , for configuring the 5.1 speakers with this software you have to install this software again by uninstalling it properly. During the installation process you will be asked for the setting up the speakers type for your computer system. Select the 5.1 speakers from the list and complete the installation process. Now your 5.1 speaker will work properly with the GOM Media Player.

Re: Problem with GOM Media Player in Windows 7

You can change the speakers settings in your computer system if you are using some application software for controlling the audio devices attached to your computer system like Realtek HD Audio controller for controlling the audio devices. Select the 5.1 channel speakers for the output and save the changes. after that your speakers will compatible with all the media players. If you do not have then you can download one application according to your sound card.
