Re: How to Repair Windows Vista Using Startup Repair??

You can go to the Startup Repair by following the steps :

1. First Start or Restart the computer.
2. Boot into the Advanced Boot Options screen. Once you go into that Select Repair your computer and then press Enter.
3. Then select the type of the system recovery option you want to perform.
There will be following options
# Startup Repair
# System Restore
# Windows Complete PC Backup
# Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
# Command Prompt
4. Now select the First option i.e. Startup Repair.
5. The Startup Repair tool will attempt to fix your computer (errors, if any) and get it booting up again.

For going to the Startup Repair you can also use the Vista installation disc, or your Recovery Disc. Insert that disk into the CD / DVD Drive and restart your computer. At the start there will be the message "Press any key to boot from the Vista installation DVD." Then press any key and select your language preferences and then click on Next. After the Repair Option will come. Then click on the Repair your computer. Then the same steps as mentioned by Macarenas.

Re: How to Repair Windows Vista Using Startup Repair??

The Startup Repair is the option from where you can fix certain problems like missing or damaged system files, due to which the Windows was not starting properly. Startup Repair is a Windows Vista recovery tool that scans your computer for the problem and then tries to fix it so your computer can start correctly. You can use the Startup Repair as fresh installation. You can go to the Startup Repair as described by the kattman or Macarenas.

Re: How to Repair Windows Vista Using Startup Repair??

Startup Repair can fix missing or damaged system files. It does not fix hardware failures, such as a failing hard disk or incompatible memory, nor does it protect against virus attacks. Startup Repair is not a backup tool, so it cannot help you recover personal files, so take the backup of the important files that you require. If repairs are not successful, you'll see a summary of the problem and you will have to check the solutions for that errors. But mostly errors get solved after repairing Windows Vista using the Startup Repair tool.
