    Enable Font Smoothing in Wine

    Hi, Is there any way by which I can able to enable the font smoothing in my wine software. I have just installed the wine 1.1.33 and wanted to enable the font smoothing. So, if anyone from you is having the idea to enable it, please give me that, so that I can enable it in my computer. Please reply me to get the solution.

    Hello, to enable the Font Smoothing you need to follow the steps below:
    • Download the shell script by clicking on the link below :
      Font Smoothing
    • Run this script using the following command
      sh winefontssmoothing_en.sh
    • Now you will get one screen with the options below:

    Please select font smoothing mode for wine
    programs:

    1 Smoothin disabled
    2 Grayscale smoothing
    3 Su***xel smoothing (ClearType) RGB
    4 Su***xel smoothing (ClearType) BGR

    <Ok> <OTMeHa>
    • Now select the third option and your font smoothing in wine would be enabled.

    Hi, I want to know what did you mean by Font smoothing. I don't know what exactly the Font smoothing is. If anyone tell me what it is? Then I can able to know that it is helpful to me or not. So, please reply me about the font smoothing option. I am new to the wine software and want to know the setting from this, so that it will work for me perfectly. So, please reply me with the details about the font smoothing.

    Enabling the Font Smoothing in Wine is very simple thing. You need to follow the steps below:

    • Open the terminal.
    • Type the code below:
      Code:
      mousepad ~/.wine/user.reg
    • Now change the line "FontSmoothing"="0" to "FontSmoothing"="1".
    • Done.

    Hello, I am also searching for the same option. I have search on internet, but not find anything about it. I also wanted to enable the Font Smoothing in Wine. I have searched for options in wine, but I am bot able to get the solution about it. So, if anyone from you are able to get the same solution then please help me to get that. I am also waiting for the reply which will help me to enable font smoothing.
