    Error 1328

I am getting the message "Error 1328. Error applying patch to file C:\Config.Msi\PT68*.tmp " when I am trying to install the patch for the application Corel Photo Album 6. Now I want to install the Corel Photo Album 6 but I can't since the error is popping while applying the patch. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this error.??

    Re: Error 1328

The Error 1328 Error applying patch to file C:\Config.Msi\PT68*.tmp is generated when there are no earlier patches of that application installed. Each Photo Album 6 patch requires users to install all previous patches first. The new software will get the information which is required for the application to run properly from the previous patches. You can fix this error by simply installing the previous patches. Once you install the previous patch for the same application you will not get the error.

    Re: Error 1328

The Error 1328 will get fixed if you apply the patch properly. But if the problem persist then try to remove the application from the Control Panel. And again reinstall it with the installation of the previous patch. Maybe your problem will get solved after reinstalling the software. Sometimes the application doesn't get properly installed and the errors are generated. So I would like to suggest you to reinstall that software.

This solution for "NGV BalaKrishna" problem is described below :

When you get the error message, click Ignore, and then continue with the Office 2000 SP-3 installation. Then Upgrade Windows 2000 to Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3). Once you are done with this you will not got the error.
