Remove Start Button in Windows XP

Hello Pals, I have Windows XP on my computer. I share this computer with my brother. While i'm away, he uses my computer and then doesn't let it as it it but shuts down the computer, this causes my downloads to remain incomplete. I want him to not be able to shutdown and hence i want to remove start button in windows xp, Can anyone help me please?

Even if you remove the start button some how, Anyone can shutdown by pressing the power button of the CPU or may be directly switch off the main switch... What would you do in such cases? There is no escape, Why don't you just inform your brother not to tun off the PC. This is the best and the simple solution...

I have disabled the Task Manager and I don't have a switch, My lines are directly Wired. Which can turn off only if there is a power cut. I know its risky, but i like it this way... Can anyone help me? Also i don't want my brother to use my computer for anything except web surfing which has desktop icons... So can anyone help?

Save the following code in notepad as a .reg file :

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

dont change anything keep it as it is. Now when the file is saved as .reg file run it and click yes, reboot your computer once and see the effect...
