Explorer 8 for windows dropdown menu problems

Whenever I start up Explorer 8 I get a dropdown menu that says: Browse For Folder, then below that it says: Please select a folder where your downloads are kept. Then it shows the folders in the C drive. My choices are OK or Cancel. But no matter which I select, the dropdown appears every time I start up Explorer 8. How to fix?

That may be due to that destination folder got corrupt you just try to provide another destination to store file may be on d drive then check if that popping again .

Try to reinstall it.
May be it is due to the change you made but not saved by the registry.

I've tried to save to the D drive, as per one suggestion, but the dropdown pops up again on the next re-opening. I would LOVE to delete/reinstall/repair Explorer 8 but I absolutely can't find the right site. Several times when I went to reinstall via the Explorer 8 site it tells me that I have a newer version of Explorer 8 than is available from the site and I can't continue the reinstallation.
