Task manager missing from my computer after installing game emulater

Hi all,

Some days before i had installed a game emulator and when i found it did not work i uninstalled it, But issue will create after that i unable to access my task manager. I am tried many time but not successful. If i press ctrl+alt+del, nothing will happen. Can anybody get me resolution of these problem. I ma using windows XP SP2.

I think that game emulator may corrupt your windows registry file and windows task manger will disabled. Follow these steps to try enabled it again : go to start, run and type regedt32.Then go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER and search a key name Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System then you have found DisableTaskMgr, Type REG_DWORD , then put the value 0 on that for enable.

You may also check out this .This is the simplest way to enable the task manager. Click on start, run and type gpedit.msc. Then a windows will pop up called group policy setting. In that windows select user configuration then administrative templates and select system, then select Ctrl+Alt+Delete options and click ok and restart the system.

May be this problem cannot get from installation de-installation of game emulator. Because most of cases task bar is disabled or corrupt by virus or malware. I suggest you to first check any virus issue on your system. Just full scan your system with any update anti virus and do regedit work.
