| Disk Cleanup tool stops responding
Anybody know an issue where the "disk cleanup tool" not working on my windows xp pc? At least for C:, but for D: is working fine. It hangs when calculating disk space will be freed. What should I do now ?? |

Hi, Try Cleanup manually, delete all files in the current user's Temp folder, and then delete all temporary Internet files of the user. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type% temp% and then click OK to open the Temp folder. 2. In the Temp folder, click Select All from the Edit menu, press DELETE, and then click Yes to confirm you want to send all items to the Recycle Bin. 3. Click Start, click Control Panel, and double-click Internet Options. 4. On the General tab, click Delete Files. 5. Click to select the Delete all offline content check box and then click OK. 6. Click Start and then click My Computer. 7. Click the drive you want to clean up, and then click Properties. 8. Click Disk Cleanup tool to run the Disk Cleanup again. |

Disk Cleanup is a utility that you temporary files, you no longer use, you can delete the folders on your hard drive. If a file can not be removed, sometimes not responding Disk Cleanup. This can happen when a temporary file is used by another program or a temporary file or folder was corrupted. To this problem, delete the files manually. Follow the steps in this document. When Disk Cleanup stops responding, restart the computer before you will perform the following steps.
