The problem that you are not able to redirect or use the hyperlink in MS outlook after been upgraded to windows 7 might be due to the Browser issue. This can be an issue with the browser that your might be using. The browser might not compatible with the operating system as it may lack some features. Try upgrading the browser or install the missing add-ons to it. This will help you out.

The issue could be resolved easily by changing or modifying the appropriate settings in the users registry. Follow the certain steps to set the registry key.

    1) Go to start and open run command.
    2) Type regedit and click ok.
    3) now locate the following HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Classes\htmlfile\shell\open\command
    4) Click the command folder mentioned.
    5) Click on export on the file.
    6) Save the file by specifying a unique name and click save.
    7) Now quit the Registry editor.
