I have also installed Office 2007 on my system. But I don't have any new folder created on C Drive as you mentioned.!! I think this folder gets created when you install Visual Studio in it. I am not having Visual Studio so no new folder on my drive. Have you installed Visual Studio in your system? Because the folder you are mentioning is not even in my default folder of Microsoft Office 14. So try checking it after uninstalling the visual studio.

Re: VSTOInstaller Error Codes for Office 2007

The new folder in C: drive as you mentioned is created during the installation of Visual Studio. The VSTO stands for Visual Studio Tools. You can use VSTOinstaller.exe to install a Visual Studio Tools for Office solution without opening a Microsoft Office application. It is the default path of the VSTOInstallerUI.dll and VSTOLoaderUI.dll. So it does not appear when you install Office 2010 without installing Visual Studio.
