    Create image file of vista

How to create a backup and restore option of Windows Vista. In my older version of Windows XP I was using Norton Ghost to create a image file and then restoring the operating system. Does Windows Vista has any inbuilt capability to create a image file other than backing up and restoring the data.

The restoring service can restore your documents, sound files, images and videos so you can restore if you remove one of them. This does not allow the restoration of programs or in case Windows becomes unbootable. For Pro and Ultimate versions you can make an image of the computer to restore it if Windows does not work anymore (or infected), the image backup installed programs and files stored on the system partition .

Windows Vista/XP, in the case of accidental deletion of a file (preferably system) you can try to restore from the previous versions feature, refer to: System Restore in Windows Vista / XP. Backup and Restore Center is located in the Control Panel / Center Backup and Restore (on Seven, it is simply the name Backup and Restore). In Part Save the files you back up your documents.

You must choose the location where files will be saved. choose a secondary partition (D: \ E: \), removable media DVD / Zip Drive or network location. In the tutorial, the backups will be on a network location, but the principle remains the same regardless of the destination chosen. Note that in the case of a network location, access with full control is necessary. You must then specify file types that you want to back up (pictures, videos, music etc.). All files in the computer, regardless of location, will then be saved.

The option of creating a image saves the contents of the primary partition and Windows backup, installed programs and any file on this partition. For this you will need DriveImage.xml. It is then possible to restore the image in its full content (the partition will be formatted and restored as contained in the image), this makes it possible to restore Windows if it crashes or if your system is infected. To create the image, click the Save button on the computer. The image can be stored on a secondary partition or DVD.
