Explorer folders and Applets missing in Windows 7

I have just installed the new Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium edition on my desktop. I am finding atleast better then Windows Vista which was not that user friendly. Windows 7 takes much less time to install. Also the hard disk space consumed is also minimized. But there are a few things missing in Windows 7, these are the Explorer Folders: Control Panel and Recycle Bin, and also the Applets are missing. I believe there must some settings to enable them to view.

Yes, it is true that Microsoft has not displayed the Recycle Bin and Control Panel from the left side in Explore Panel. But it is also true there is an alternative way to overcome this. The method is as follows:
Quote:
Open the Computer icon (i.e My Computer)
Go to the Menu Bar.
Select Tools Menu.
Click on the Folder Option.
Against the Show all folders check box, make a check .
To apply the settings click OK.

Re: Explorer folders and Applets missing in Windows 7

Hey Thanks a lot for the above solutions. Using your described method I was able to get back all the top-level system folders in my Windows 7 operating system. This worked for me. But also provide the way in which the Missing Applets can be brought back in Windows 7. Thank You in Advance. And how to remove unnecessary programs from the applets?

Windows 7 is really a smart operating system designed by Microsoft till date. It installs very easily consuming less time. But to enable this fast installation of Windows 7, Microsoft has compromised on the Applets that were present int he earlier versions of Windows. The applets such as Photo gallery, Movie Maker and many such applets are not distributed with the Windows 7. You need to download these programs. But in case you just own a single Windows Live account and if the Live SkyDrive is not of use to you then you can uninstall it through Control Panel Uninstall A Program applet.
