Application tool for setting screen resolution

Hi, Well I have a problem related to the screen resolution my AOC Monitor that is whenever I try to play a game the resolution automatically changes to its desired configuration. I have configured my screen resolution to 1024*768 pixels but when I play the games the resolution turns to 800*600 pixels. I want to know whether there is any application tool through which I can set them accordingly during execution. Please help.

You may be able to set the screen resolution or do the necessary stuffs by just making changes in your monitor options. You can get the option for your monitor to the display card or the graphic card option. You will get the option for your graphic card by going to start menu> control panel> Intel GMA driver or whatever the graphic card you are using. From this you can make settings for your resolution.
